– BUT, this entry is not about fish.. I would like to share something about Hard Disk Drive made by Seagate. Recently, I heard a lot of problem facing by Seagate Barracuda SATA series 7200.11. The hdd failing within a few month/weeks of use. I come accross with this kinda complaints around the nets & community forum. My plan is to buy new Seagate 1TB HDD to replace current 500GB in NAS. dang! Have to change to Western Digital..
Im a big fan of Seagate due to my luck with Seagate always good since my 1st hard disk 8.4GB back to 90s. All my seagate harddisk serve my well throughout many years compare to other brand.
Quantum 20GB - use for 3days than conked!! year 2000
Maxtor 200GB - died a few days after the warranty end.! year 2003
Western Digital 160GB - write error problem after 2 month of use. year 2008
Since year 2003 and ahead, If within my power, I will always choose Seagate. When u buy a laptop - you cannot choose what harddisk you want.. hehe
